Pressure vs. soft wash
Why we soft-wash siding (and never pressure-wash it).
Pressure washing puts 3,000+ PSI directly on a surface. That's right for concrete and brick, wrong for vinyl, painted siding, stucco, and roof shingles. Soft washing uses low pressure plus a plant-safe biocide that breaks down algae, mildew, and lichen at the root. The clean lasts 4–6× longer.
Soft wash
- Siding, brick, stucco
- Roofs (asphalt, tile)
- Painted surfaces
- 1,000 PSI max
Pressure wash
- Concrete driveways
- Sidewalks & patios
- Brick walkways
- 3,000+ PSI
Surfaces we wash
One method per surface. No guesswork.
Vinyl siding
Soft wash, low pressure, plant-safe. Restores chalky finish.
Brick & stone
Step-up pressure, mineral-safe formula. Removes efflorescence.
Stucco & EIFS
Lowest pressure setting. Lifts mildew without spalling.
Hardie / fiber-cement
Soft wash. Avoids paint failure on edges and seams.
Wood siding
Detergent dwell + rinse. Keeps stain and grain intact.
Painted trim
Hand-detail pass with brush on stubborn streaks.
